  1. State Of Illinois Driver's Vision Test
  2. Driver's Vision Enhancer (dve) An/vas-5

Drivers would be excepted from the road test requirement if they have three years of intrastate or excepted interstate CMV driving experience with the vision deficiency, hold a valid federal vision exemption or are medically certified, according to FMCSA. Vision tests for first-time licenses and commercial driver's licenses continue to be required. “The need to have a vision test to renew your driver's license was taken out of state law when the state passed the REAL ID bill in 2017,' said SCDMV Executive Director Kevin Shwedo.

New residents or those returning to Tennessee and holding a driver license from another state must obtain a Tennessee driver license no later than thirty (30) days after establishing residency. New residents will need to go to any of our full-service driver service centers that are located throughout the state. New residents holding a valid learner's permit from another state must meet separate requirements to obtain a Tennessee learner permit or driver license.
