Nevada has three sets of requirements for proof of identity, including a 'Real ID' license or ID card that meets federal requirements under the Real ID Act of 2005. Real ID compliant cards must have the physical address printed on the card. Standard cards and driver authorization cards may show either the physical or mailing address.   • If you are filing an Eviction Declaration, apply for rental assistance through the Rent & Utility Assistance and Emergency Services Portal – click on the yellow button above.
  • If you are in eviction, apply to Legal Aid at (888) 534-1432.
  • For Driver’s license reinstatement or criminal records issues, click on the yellow “apply for assistance” button and select “Self-Help Resources” under Legal Clinic.

The CDC issued a ban preventing your landlord from evicting you until 3.31.2021 for failing to pay rent.

Call Legal Aid at 888-534-1432 if you are already in eviction.

Eligible Households can receive payment for their main or secondary heating source.
MVCAP may be able to assist with fuel tank placement and testing, and furnace repair.

  • Households at or below 175% of the FPG (family of 4 – annual income below $45,850)
  • In disconnect status or have a pending disconnection notice
  • Need to establish new service -or-
  • Need to pay to transfer new service -or-
  • Have 25% or less of bulk fuel supply remaining -or-
  • Household member who was diagnosed with COVID-19 in 2020 to help stay warm this winter

Rental Assistance is available through
the Home Relief Grant Program.

Have you already recieved an eviction or 3-day notice?

The Center for Disease Control issued a ban preventing your landlord from evicting you until March 31, 2021 for failing to pay rent. You must apply for assistance and submit an eviction prevention declaration to your landlord.

Instructions:

  1. Add your name, address, and your landlord’s name and email address to the Declaration document, sign, and the declaration.
  2. If you complete the document online or from your phone, type your signature using /s/ before your name.
    Example: /s/ Tina Tenant
  3. Make a copy of your signed declaration
  4. Email, send via U.S. Mail or hand-deliver this signed declaration to your Landlord in a way that allows you to get proof that the landlord received it.
  5. All adults who have signed your lease must provide a separate declaration.

Mortgage Assistance is available through
the Home Relief Grant Program.

The HomeOwnership Center of Greater Dayton is working with Miami Valley Community Action Partnership to help local homeowners who have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Mortgage Assistance Program helps homeowners to catch up on their mortgage and ultimately avoid foreclosure. Funds will be paid directly to the applicant’s mortgage company.

Qualified applicants must:

  • Own a home (primary residence) in Montgomery, Greene, Darke, Preble, or Warren County.
  • Have had a financial hardship due to COVID-19 that impacted their ability to pay their mortgage.
  • Be behind on their mortgage, or in a forbearance agreement with their mortgage company, as of 4/1/2020 or later.
  • Complete an application, provide required documentation, and discuss their circumstances with HomeOwnership Center staff.

Replacing a Lost Nevada Driver's License

If you have lost your Nevada driver's license, or if it has been stolen or damaged, the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has made it fairly easy to obtain a duplicate driver license or ID card.

How to Get a Duplicate License in Nevada

REAL IDs and License Replacements

If you plan to upgrade to a NV REAL ID upon replacement, you'll need to do so in person and follow the steps for a first-time REAL ID application. Jump over to our license guide for help.

The first thing you may want to do after losing your Nevada driver's license is to report it to the NV DMV and to local authorities. This can help prevent identity theft and other related fraudulent activities.

You can request a duplicate Nevada driver's license:

  • Online through the NV DMV website.
  • In person at a:
    • DMV kiosk.
      OR
    • DMV office.

NOTE: Replacing a NV motorcycle license follows this same process.

Online License Replacement

You can get a replacement Nevada driver's license online IF:

  • You do NOT have a commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Your license is valid (has not been suspended or revoked).
  • Your address hasn't changed.
  • Your license will not expire in the next 60 days.

To renew and replace your driver's license online, use the Nevada DMV Online Request for Duplicate. You will need:

  • Your date of birth.
  • Your Social Security number (SSN).
  • A credit card to pay the license fee of $18.25.

You will receive your duplicate Nevada driver's license by mail.

In-Person License Replacement

You can request a replacement driver's license in person at a Nevada DMV kiosk or DMV office.

DMV kiosks are found in a variety of public locations in Nevada. To use a kiosk, you must have:

  • A non-commercial driver's license.
    • It must not expire in the next 60 days.
  • The same address you had when your license was last renewed or issued.
  • Cash, a check, or a debit or credit card to pay the $18.25 license fee, plus a $1 processing fee.

If you are ineligible for online or kiosk orders, you can go in person to a Nevada DMV office to order a duplicate driver's license. You will need to provide your SSN and date of birth, as well as payment for the $18.25 fee.

Getting your Real ID license can be done at any time and MUST be done in person, so if you decide that you would like to get yours, you must bring proof of your:

  • Name change (if you have ever changed your name).
  • Social Security number.
  • Nevada residential address (multiple documents).

You will also need to bring either an Application for Driving Privileges or ID Card.

The Nevada DMV website has a full list of acceptable documents to bring in for each requirement—just make sure that each document is a valid original and NOT a photocopy.

Replace a License While Out of State

If you're temporarily outside of Nevada or out of the country and have lost your driver's license, you may order a replacement license. Contact the NV DMV for details.

Fees to Replace a NV Driver's License

Replacement driver's licenses in Nevada will cost you $18.25.

If you order a replacement online, you will also need to pay an additional $1 processing fee.

NV DMV offices accept payment by:

  • Cash.
  • Check.
  • Money order.
  • VISA.
  • MasterCard.
  • Discover card.

Online payments must be made by VISA, MasterCard, or Discover card only.

You may qualify once for a fee waiver for a duplicate driver's license if you're homeless. Just fill out the Declaration of Homeless Status (Form DMV-128) and bring it to a full-service Nevada DMV office.
